Eligibility Criteria for NTA NIFTEE 2026

| Bachelor of Design (B.Des) | Candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognized board (including NIOS) or hold a 3-4 year diploma equivalent. Must be Indian citizens and meet age criteria. |
| Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.) | Passed Class 12th with Mathematics or hold a 3-4 year Engineering Diploma. Must fulfill age criteria and be Indian citizens. |
| Master of Design (M.Des.) | Bachelor’s Degree in any stream or 3-year Diploma from NIFT/NID. Must meet age and citizenship criteria. |
| Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.) | Bachelor’s Degree or 3-year Diploma from NIFT/NID and meet eligibility conditions. |
| Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.) | B.F.Tech from NIFT or B.E./B.Tech from recognized university. Must satisfy age and citizenship rules. |
| Bachelor of Design (For Artisan Category) | Passed Class 12th or diploma with valid Artisan Card. Must meet prescribed age and citizenship criteria. |
Selection Process
- UG Programmes: For B.Des candidates, selection is based on GAT, CAT, and Situation Test with weightage CAT 50%, GAT 30%, Situation Test 20%. For B.F.Tech, only GAT is required.
- PG Programmes: For M.Des, candidates must appear in GAT, CAT and Personal Interview. For MFM and M.F.Tech, selection is based on GAT and Personal Interview.
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries 1 mark, wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks, and no marks for unattempted questions.
