The Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh has officially announced the launch of the UP Scholarship 2025-26 scheme for deserving students. Every year, the Government of Uttar Pradesh provides financial assistance to lakhs of students through its Pre-Matric (Class 9-10), Post-Matric (Class 11-12), and Dashmottar (UG/PG/Diploma/Certificate Courses) scholarships. This initiative helps students from financially weaker backgrounds to continue their education without monetary burden.
For the session 2025-26, the online application process will start from 02 July 2025 and will continue till 30 October 2025 for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Intermediate categories. Candidates applying for Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate courses can apply from 10 July 2025 to 20 December 2025. Interested students are advised to carefully read the eligibility conditions, check required documents, and submit their forms before the last date.

Application Fee
There is no application fee for any candidate applying under UP Scholarship 2025-26. All eligible students can apply free of cost through the official portal.
Eligibility Criteria
Domicile
Only candidates who are residents of Uttar Pradesh and hold a valid UP domicile certificate are eligible.
Pre Matric
Students who have passed Class 8 and are enrolled in Class 9, or passed Class 9 and enrolled in Class 10 can apply.
Post Matric
Students who have passed Class 10 and are studying in Class 11, or passed Class 11 and enrolled in Class 12 can apply.
Dashmottar
Students enrolled in any UG/PG/Diploma/Certificate courses from recognized institutions are eligible.

Renewal Candidates - Use Last Year Registration Number for Login
The last date for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Intermediate is 30 October 2025, while for Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate, it is 20 December 2025.
Any student belonging to Uttar Pradesh with a valid domicile, studying in Class 9, 10, 11, 12, or enrolled in UG/PG/Diploma/Certificate courses is eligible to apply.
No, there is absolutely no application fee for students applying under this scheme.
The scholarship amount is expected to be disbursed into students’ bank accounts by 31 December 2025 for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric, and by 24 January 2026 for Other Than Intermediate.
